A nice split was still missing in my VW collection. Because of space problems Alexandre, who bought my green 51 karmann, had to sell his nice 51 split. That was my chance to get a restored split. The car came 1951 from a VW dealer in Brussels. Jean-Pierre Brassenx, ex-president of the french VW vintage club, restored the car in the nineties. The car got a new paintjob and new seat material. Just a little part at the door had to be welded, the rest is original. Bumpers, fenders, aluminium trims, running boards, wiring-harness, head- and tail-lights and so on, are original. Also the engine is the first one. It runs 66.000 km since leaving the factory!
