I bought my 52 karmann in 1993. The car came from Kaufbeuren in south germany. It was unrestored with its first paint and nearly complete. Only a few small parts and the interieur mirror were missing. The car was really in a bad condition. The rust made a good job. Everybody who saw the car said that I am stupid to do a project like this. The hardest job was finding the original interieur mirror. After eight years I got it from Dirk Baginski. He found the mirror on a junkyard in Austria! Exactly before the Hessisch Oldendorf meeting in 2005, I finished the project after twelve years.
