One year before I finished my 52 karmann I bought an unrestored 51 karmann. The car was from first hand and had the first roof. The seats were also original and in very good condition. The car had its first hoods and fenders. The first owner bought all accessories which were available from VW in the early fifties. In the seventies they installed blinker and they painted the car new in its original color. The first engine drove 65.000 km over the years. When I finished my 52 project I sold the car to my friend Alexandre in France. From him I got my chestnut-brown 51 split.
